Technical Architect Contract 
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join a remote team working on a legacy debt improvement project for a non-for-profit organisation. This position plays a key role in a Legacy debt improvement project in phase 1. Phase 1 will be a discovery phase to identify, monitor legacy tech debt and develop a plan to remove upwards of 10% of all legacy debt. Phase 1 is focused on designing long term strategy, identifying and removing quick wins and building the foundation for future phases.

Details:
- Rate: Circa. £450 per day
- IR35: Outside IR35
- Location: Remote
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 4 Months
- Working Pattern: 3 days per week
- Strong documentation skills - able to produce clear, structured, and interrogable records.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with security software and legacy security risks.
- Ability to identify, manage, and propose solutions for legacy tech debt.
- Deep understanding of legacy and modern tech stacks.
- Comfortable working in a newly formed project team.
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to ask the right questions and get buy-in from others.
- Experience in medium-sized organizations with complex landscapes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and ask the right questions to drive progress
- Charity sector experience
- Familiarity with both legacy and modern technologies
- Experience with security software and managing technical debt
- Prior work in small organisations
- Ability to extract insights from older systems and contribute to tech clean-up
