Repairs Project Manager – Social Housing
Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel
Contract: Initial three months, with potential to extend to 6–12 months
Day rate: To be confirmed
IR35: To be confirmed
Start: ASAP, ideally within two weeks
Working pattern: Five days per week preferred; 

The opportunity

Gravitas is recruiting an experienced Repairs Project Manager to support a housing provider with a significant repairs transformation programme.


The role will oversee business and technology change supporting Awaab’s Law requirements and the delivery of an end-to-end repairs solution. You will bring strong repairs knowledge, clear project leadership and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, keeping delivery organised and progressing against challenging deadlines.


Key responsibilities


Lead project delivery, maintaining clear plans, milestones, dependencies and ownership.


Apply your understanding of the end-to-end repairs lifecycle to ensure changes meet operational and customer needs.
Manage risks and issues, escalating concerns promptly and driving actions through to resolution.
Build effective relationships with senior property and repairs leaders, operational colleagues, technology teams and external suppliers.


Coordinate business requirements and delivery activity with a third-party Microsoft Dynamics 365 development partner.
Support backlog refinement and sprint planning within an Agile software development environment.


Provide clear, timely reporting so stakeholders understand progress, priorities and decisions required.
Ensure customer engagement and supplier connectivity are considered throughout delivery.


Essential experience


Strong knowledge of social housing repairs, gained within a housing provider or a supplier supporting the sector.


A thorough understanding of the end-to-end repairs lifecycle and the needs of customers, colleagues and suppliers.


Proven project management experience, including planning, governance, risk management and delivery against tight deadlines.


Confident communication skills, with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
Experience working alongside Agile software development teams.


A proactive, organised approach and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders.


Desirable experience


Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, NEC Housing or Plentific.


Familiarity with DevOps tools or ways of working.
