💰 Salary: £59,000 
🕒 Hours: Full Time, Hybrid - 2-3 days in London
 

We are collaborating with an organisation that is out to market for an excellent role which focuses on governance part of quality assurance. They are an interesting organisation where their academic excellence meets creativity. We are seeking an experienced Quality and Standards Manager to lead and enhance our academic quality assurance practices, ensuring full compliance with UK regulatory frameworks and driving continuous improvement across the institution.

About the Role

As our Quality and Standards Manager, you’ll take the lead on planning and delivering the School’s quality assurance schedule, coordinating internal and external reviews, and supporting high-level academic governance. This is a vital role working across academic and professional services teams to ensure we meet the highest standards of compliance and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage quality assurance activities, including internal/external validations, periodic reviews, and regulatory returns.

  • Act as Secretary to Academic Board and the Quality Committee – managing agendas, minute-taking, and document preparation.

  • Serve as the main institutional liaison with external validating and regulatory bodies.

  • Maintain and update key quality documentation, including the Quality Assurance Handbook and institutional registers.

  • Support the delivery of institutional projects and key events, including graduation and welcome week.

  • Provide training and briefings on quality-related policies and best practices.

 What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in UK Higher Education quality assurance - they need someone who can come in and hit the ground running

  • Solid understanding of the QAA Quality Code and OfS regulatory environment

  • Proven experience managing people and cross-functional projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal committee servicing

  • Analytical thinking with the ability to summarise complex data

  • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
