We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join a dynamic team within the Housing and IT sector on a contract basis. The position is based in the United Kingdom and follows a hybrid working model, requiring occasional on-site presence.
This role is Outside IR35 and offered for an initial period of 3 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and project requirements. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making across housing operations and services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various business units to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Transform raw data from multiple sources into meaningful insights through data modelling, DAX, and visualisation techniques.
- Maintain data integrity and implement best practices in report development and deployment.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximise adoption and utilisation of Power BI tools.
- Ensure data privacy and security compliance across reporting processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Power BI Developer in the public or housing sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Familiarity with data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
- Experience in analysing complex datasets and translating findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid working environment.
