Investment Advisory Manager (VP / Assistant Director) — London
Our Client (Pure Play Private Bank) is hiring an experienced Investment Advisory Manager to join its London-based Investment Services team, reporting to the Head of UK Investment Services.
The role
You’ll provide high-conviction, tailored investment advice to HNW/UHNW private banking clients, partnering closely with Relationship Managers and Investment/Portfolio Managers to deliver best-in-class solutions across fixed income, structured products, equities and equity derivatives.
What you’ll do
- Deliver bespoke advisory to HNW/UHNW clients, aligned to objectives and risk profiles
- Build, review and monitor multi-asset portfolios; drive tactical and strategic asset allocation
- Generate actionable ideas across credit, structured notes/capital-protected solutions, and listed/OTC equity derivatives
- Lead and support client meetings: present market views, strategies, and recommendations
- Produce high-quality investment proposals, portfolio analysis and client-ready materials
- Ensure full compliance with UK and Swiss regulatory and suitability requirements
- Collaborate with Product, Trading and Compliance; support internal training and client engagement initiatives
- Occasional international travel with bankers/PMs to meet clients and prospects
What we’re looking for
- 5–10 years’ experience in private banking / wealth management / investment advisory / discretionary portfolio management
- Proven track record advising HNW/UHNW clients
- Strong product expertise: fixed income, structured products, equity derivatives
- Solid grasp of asset allocation, portfolio construction, credit markets, derivatives risk/pricing
- Confident communicator able to explain complex concepts to sophisticated clients
- Degree in Finance/Economics/Maths (or similar); CISI (or equivalent) a plus
