Microsoft Defender Migration Specialist contract supporting a time-critical transition from SentinelOne to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and onboarding the estate into Arctic Wolf MDR. The role provides hands-on endpoint security engineering expertise to plan and execute the migration while maintaining continuous EDR coverage.

• Experience managing complex endpoint estates, including VIP and retail/POS environments

Role Overview
This engagement works alongside the organisation’s IT team to deliver the MDR service transition to Arctic Wolf. You will be accountable for preparing the endpoint and server estate for onboarding, coordinating agent and sensor deployment, and validating integrations required for live monitoring. Success is measured by confirmed operational monitoring in Arctic Wolf and Microsoft Defender before SentinelOne is removed across the estate. Working environment is hybrid, based in London.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and segment the endpoint and server estate, including Intune-managed Windows, Intune-managed macOS, Jamf-managed macOS and VIP/POS endpoints
• Develop and execute a comprehensive SentinelOne-to-Microsoft Defender migration plan
• Ensure continuous endpoint protection and security monitoring throughout the migration
• Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Cloud
• Coordinate deployment of Arctic Wolf agents and network sensors
• Complete Arctic Wolf onboarding activities, including management API integrations and Windows event log ingestion
• Validate operational integration between Microsoft Defender and Arctic Wolf MDR
• Confirm successful onboarding and monitoring before removing SentinelOne across the estate
• Support technical troubleshooting, deployment exceptions and transition risk management
