Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

Lead the architecture and end-to-end design of:

Salesforce Service Cloud

Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Design scalable data models to support beneficiaries, donors, volunteers, grants, and program management.
-
Architect integrations with finance systems, fundraising platforms, websites, and third-party applications.
-
Ensure best practices in security, compliance (e.g., GDPR where applicable), and data governance.
-
Define automation strategies including case workflows, journey orchestration, segmentation, and reporting.
-
Establish DevOps and release management processes.
2. Project Management & Implementation Oversight
-
Develop and manage a detailed implementation roadmap.
-
Lead discovery workshops with program, fundraising, and operations teams.
-
Define scope, milestones, and deliverables.
-
Manage cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators.
-
Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and change control.
-
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to mission priorities.
-
Drive user adoption and change management initiatives.
3. Nonprofit-Focused System Design
-
Design case management workflows to support service delivery.
-
Enable donor lifecycle journeys (acquisition, retention, stewardship).
-
Support grant tracking and impact measurement reporting.
-
Build dashboards for leadership visibility and board reporting.
-
Ensure the platform reflects nonprofit-specific processes and compliance requirements.
4. Training, Documentation & Governance
-
Develop governance frameworks for Salesforce usage.
-
Create documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, and process maps.
-
Train internal administrators and power users.
-
Establish long-term system sustainability and continuous improvement practices.
Required Qualifications
-
7+ years of Salesforce experience, including:
-
3+ years designing Service Cloud solutions.
-
3+ years designing Marketing Cloud implementations.
-

Proven experience architecting complex, multi-cloud Salesforce environments.
-
Demonstrated experience managing full lifecycle Salesforce implementations.
-
Strong understanding of nonprofit operations (fundraising, program management, donor engagement).
-
Experience with data migration, integrations (APIs), and automation tools.
-
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce certifications such as:

Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – preferred

Service Cloud Consultant
-
Marketing Cloud Consultant

PMP or equivalent project management certification

Experience working within nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.

Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising models and grant management
