In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional support services for our diverse student community, ensuring the smooth operation of academic processes, and leading on critical projects to enhance academic operations.

Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid | London | 3 days per week on campus
Salary: up to £35,605.29.

- Proven experience in a support or academic administrative role.
- Experience working with data and using reporting methods and tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and professional etiquette.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to use IT Systems and Microsoft packages.
Key Projects You will be involved in:
This University is going through a major digital transformation. Moreover, as a Student and Academic Support Officer, you will play a central role in a number of key projects that are critical to the success of academic operations and influence future processes:
- Summer Assessment Preparation: Managing marks, data, and reports to ensure compliance with institutional regulations. This includes coordinating with academic staff for timely grade submissions, handling large datasets with accuracy, and generating detailed reports.
- Examination Boards: Organising and supporting examination boards, including scheduling meetings, distributing materials, and documenting decisions to maintain compliance and transparency.
- Module Sign-Up: Overseeing registration systems to ensure students can access and select their modules seamlessly. You will work with academic departments to confirm module availability, resolve timetable clashes, and align registration data with institutional systems.
- Semesterisation Transition: Supporting the transition to a new academic structure, including assisting with curriculum adjustments, aligning module delivery to the new format, and ensuring timetables meet semester requirements. This includes adapting administrative processes to ensure minimal disruption while meeting institutional goals.
Across all these projects, you will be given the autonomy in ensuring effective communication with students and staff, address issues proactively, and produce accurate data and reports to support decision-making.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working on an SRS (Student Record System) or large, complex database.
- Experience working in assessments, student records, or registration processes.
- Quality assurance and compliance experience.
- Experience working in Higher Education, with an understanding of sector-specific regulations and processes.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) to produce insightful reports for academic staff.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting or Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
