A discussion by Ian Clark (HESA Data Futures Consultant) about how HEIs need to be approaching the next 24 months followed by a Q&A.

Gravitas is proud to present our next digital networking event for the Education sector.

We have partnered with Ian Clark (HESA Consultant)to ask the question:“HESA Data Futures - What do we do now?"

With a lot of institutions fixating on an oft-quoted deadline of being "ready" for August 2022 (and very few actually being truly ready!) there are a fair few questions being asked around what needs to happen between now, and in-year reporting going live for the 24/25 academic year.

Ian will be talking through the road leading up till now, but more importantly he will be laying out what institutions need to be doing across the next 24 months in order to be fully ready for in-year reporting & outlining what he believes some of these key milestones to be.

This will be a great opportunity to hear the insight given by a true specialist, who will be sharing their own personal opinions; not those coloured by any University, software supplier, or by HESA themselves.

Ian has 15 years experience working with HESA returns & Statutory Reporting, previously holding the position of Statutory Reporting Manager at Sheffield Hallam University. He has been working with with Data Futures from the early days, being heavily involved in the original pilot programme & has delivered training, guidance to institutions to help change the narrative of the HESA return, which is often negatively perceived. Since making the transition into consultancy work he's worked with several institutions on their Data Futures journey, including 11 mapping and gap analysis exercises across a variety of student record systems.

We are also interested to learn what Universities are planning in this area, so please come ready for an engaging and interactive event!
